Though Mr. Gladwell's argument is entertaining, it's largely unsupported in his discussions. He offers only a few examples to draw from (largely opinionated,) with an occasional vague reference to psychologists who supposedly echo the same sentiments. I would like to see more support for this argument in the way of facts, but then again I have a problem following the rules: For instance, if you told me it would take 10 years in order to become good let alone great at something, I'd say, I'll tell you at 9. It's important to remember (or catch) the fact that Mr. Gladwell is assuming your only spending four hours a day "practicing" your particular focus in order to reach this conclusion of 10 years. All things aside, it's a clever conversation on the possible factors that play into success.
