ELECTRONIC ID'S


Afghanistan is the latest country to implement electronic identification cards for its citizens; a project said to be completed within the next five years and span the entire population. The momentous undertaking didn't come without a price, with a $101.5 million contract with the Afghan company Grand Technology Resources to manufacture the cards. The hope is that the Id's will ensure an accurate and fair election process; but one can't help but wonder if the motivations are completely well intentioned. More On Electronic Id's
