A DINOSAUR TALE

The long tail of search is where I live.

While others are stuck on page 1 I'm finding the next big thing on 99.

The long tail is where new markets emerge and creativity exists.

I don't care about rankings or popularity.

I care about rare because rare is valuable.

To bottle the long tail is to own the future.

So enjoy today while I plan tomorrow.

Our research spans from modeling the dynamic processes that occur on the Web (how information networks grow and evolve, how individual and collective traffic patterns emerge, how attention bursts are generated and shaped by social and search tools) to designing tools that mine the Web to build better search, navigation, management, and recommendation tools (where ‘better’ means more intelligent, autonomous, robust, personalized, contextual, scalable, adaptive, and so on).
