7 WAYS TO SPICE UP YOUR SURVEY

It's sort of sad that survey research has gotten so bad that we're looking for sexier ways to dress them up, but we're going to give it a shot anyway.

1. Create surveys that add value to consumers by helping them gain insight about themselves through their responses.

2. Allow users to see how their answers compared with others taking the survey.

3. Offer an incentive (a real nice reward) for completing the survey.

4. Demonstrate that responses turn into results by sharing what's been changed in light of past surveys given to build credibility.

5.  Keep questions short and sweet, limiting the time to complete the survey to 5-10 minutes.

6. Facilitate a different experience so it's not just another survey to fill out and complete.

7. Include visual question types, graphics, etc. to appeal to users on a sensory or emotional level.
