CLIFF LEE'S NEW NUMBER: 33

Funny, how the biggest moments in life often start with the most mundane turn of events. Early November, Cliff Lee's agent, Darek Braunecker invited his most accomplished client to his office in little rock Arkansas. There, he instructed Lee to jot down a list of teams he would like to play for in order from 1 to 5. At the top of Lee's list were the Philadelphia Phillie's, and the rest is how they say; "history." The deal made public Wednesday, took all of 6 weeks to set in stone; guaranteeing Lee $120 million over the course of the next 5 years for what will undoubtedly be the most exciting season of baseball yet for the organization. Phillie's fans are elated with Lees return and I can't say I blame them.

CLIFF LEE:

"I never wanted to leave in the first place," Lee said. "To get an opportunity to come back and be part of this team and this pitching rotation is going to be something that's historic, I believe."
