It's because of empathy that I'm a mess, it allows me to feel what victims feel, to understand what ran through their mind at the time of a heinous crime and why I struggle to make decisions. It's what drives me to be a better man and what I use to become a better profiler. It's why I have trouble sleeping at night; but it's this unique ability to put myself in another persons shoes that I'm able to find the answers when no one else can.
