The panel that Governor Andrew Cuomo assigned to find nearly $3
billion in Medicaid savings is now considering dozens of proposals,
including one that would raise the requirements needed for hospital
admissions and another that would limit coverage of brand-name
prescription drugs.
The state's Health Department submitted 49 proposals to the so-called Medicaid Redesign Team this week. Cuomo has tasked the panel with finding $2.8 billion in savings. WNYC
