KELPER SPCAE TELESCOPE WITH SOME INTERESTING FINDINGS

Five of the candidates are Earth-sized.

The announcement from the Kepler space telescope team brings the total number of exoplanet candidates they have identified to more than 1,200. BBC

I sort of hate stories like this, because there's nothing really tangible to speak of. You found habitable planets, great, but if we can't get there who cares.

My personal belief is that the lights were about to get shut off in the observatory so we get an entertaining story about 1,200 habitable planets far far away.

I'm sure their work is honorable and will be very useful to humanities survival one day, but I don't find it particularly interesting or news worthy.

Do your thing Kepler we all trust the work your doing is vital.
